The Republican Party was the party of Lincoln, of Eisenhower, and of Ronald Reagan, and then it died. Oddly enough all three men left us with dire warnings, that sadly have gone unheeded.
Many suppose that all great Lincoln quotes were made shortly before or during the Civil War. That is not the case. He was not a prophet but he had within him a great wisdom even in his youth. It was in 1838 when he stated: "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be or lot, we must ourselves be the author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."
Not bad for a young man of twenty-nine, who had no idea that one day the fate of a great nation would hinge upon the wisdom he possessed and the sorrows he endured.
Over a century later, President Eisenhower in his farewell address warned America yet again. This time it was of a military-industrial complex. He was not warning the citizens of this nation about our military, but the complex behind it. Please watch part of that farewell address in a two and a half minute video, but first read an explanation of the term military-industrial complex from Wikipedia.
Excerpt:(Notice as you read this, the media is mentioned twice as part of the problem.)
"The term is sometimes used more broadly to include the entire network of contracts and flows of money and resources among individuals as well as corporations and institutions of the defense contractors, the Pentagon, the Congress and executive branch. This sector is intrinsically prone to principal-agent problem, moral hazard, and rent seeking. Cases of political corruption have also surfaced with regularity. A parallel system is that of the Military-industrial-media complex, along with the more distant Politico-media complex and Prison-industrial complex."
I felt it necessary to add the above to clarify the President's meaning in this video.
There are few if any who would argue about whether or not Jimmy Carter was the worst President in the history of this great nation. He left America in a shambles and aided in the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, thus leading to the daunting dangers we face under the leadership of one who promises to be far worse than Carter ever imagined. Fortunately Jimmy Carter was replaced by Ronald Reagan who never took the time to blame anyone for the problems he inherited, he simply went to work restoring the American dream.
Oddly enough his greatest speech was made while campaigning for Barry Goldwater. That speech has now come to be known as A Time For Choosing. The video is here, but near the end he gave us a warning, in this very brief clip, that went unheeded. The people of America made their choice and they chose the hollow promises of Lyndon Johnson and his Great Society.
The text from that brief clip: You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We'll preserve for our children, this, the last best hope on Earth, or we'll sentence them to take the the last step into a thousand years of darkness." He was referring to another dark age of mankind. He meant what he said and he was correct. If things are not turned around immediately, mankind is facing anther Dark Age, and the one that befell humanity when Rome collapsed lasted a thousand years.
Humanity and its cultures are being torn asunder by an elite group of lesser gods who now control the future of our species. They are few while we are many, but they are powerful and we are weak. We, through our passivity, play a game in which we vote for leaders they choose. Those leaders in turn lead us to where those lesser gods want us to be. There was a time when the President of the United States was the most powerful man in the world. Those days are gone. Now, like a good sheep dog, he moves the flock at the master's command.
Three decades ago anyone who warned of a globalist conspiracy became a laughing stock in need of an aluminum foil dunce cap. They warned but none listened. They were laughed at as conspiracy theorists and unfortunately they were correct! So many people today live in fear of coming events created by the globalists, and their greatest hope lies with the Republican Party. That is much like wishing on a star ... a falling star.
Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, spoke of a city on the hill: "You are the light unto the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden." Nearly two thousand years later the phrase was again used by Puritan John Winthrop as he described his vision of what his fellow Puritans would build in the New World. JFK again made the phrase popular in an address he gave in 1961. Reagan is the man who certainly made those words immortal when he used them in both his acceptance speech and again in his farewell address to the nation. I don't think that President Bush the Elder ever used the phrase but he ceded the ownership of that shining city to the U.N. when he declared us to be part of the New World Order. Since then it has all been downhill.
There are two political activists that I trust far more than any politician, Frank Gaffney and David Horowitz. A politician, whether good or evil, can do nothing unless they get the votes required to put them into office, and that is a self baiting trap, for to get those votes it is often necessary to make compromises. Far too often those compromises are on principles, and principles once forsaken are gone forever. An activist, such as Gaffney and Horowitz, need make no compromise at all in the search for and the dissemination of truth. Thus my admiration and trust of these two men. When they speak I listen. I listen well, and heed their thoughts. When they warn Americans of Suhail Khan and Grover Norquist I know what they say is worth hearing.
Pause for a moment and ask yourself who would Harry Reid say is the most powerful man in Washington. Barrack Obama? Himself? Neither! It is his opinion that Grover Norquist is the most powerful man in our nation's capitol, and he doesn't even hold office, and furthermore is unknown to most Americans. A few years ago George Soros was a near unknown as well. Glenn Beck and the new media of bloggers are changing all the rules.

| Grover Norquist |
George W. Bush's famous "Islam is a religion of peace" statement was the result of the prompting provided by Norquist. At that time few of us knew a much about Islam but we have certainly learned a lot since, and know full well that Islam is anything but peaceful. I shall provide a list of suggested reading at the end of this essay for those who wish to continue their research into the problem of the demise of the GOP, but one link is appropriate now.
Grover Norquist managed to install Suhail Khan into the ranks of the conservatives. One need not look far to find his connections to widespread terrorist organizations. The link provided is entitled " Odd Connection of Some GOP Backers of Ground Zero Mosque" I bring up this link at the moment solely for the purpose of displaying one excerpt:
"The last signer of the Ground Zero mosque letter is Samah Alrayyes Norquist, the Palestinian Muslim wife of Republican operative Grover Norquist. Born in Kuwait of Palestinian parents, Samah Alrayyes immigrated to the United States in 1990, earned college degrees and then worked in the office suite of Republican activist Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform (ATR)."
There is a connection here that most have missed. Under Sharia law a Muslim man can marry a non-Muslim woman as long as the children are raised in the Muslim faith. A Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim man or a non-Muslim man who is working toward the benefit of Islam! That leaves two options for Grover Norquist: He is either a closet Muslim or he is leading the Republican party unto the path of Allah, and like Harry Reid says, he is the most powerful man in Washington.
Grover Norquist and his protege Suhail Khan are both up to their necks in the ways of Islam and both are taking control of our conservative leaders. Norquist spoke out in favor of closing Gitmo and trying the terrorists confined there in a court of law with all the rights of Americans. He was in favor of the 911 Mosque, He opposed the Patriot Act that allowed access to Jihadist communications. He is tied to Islamic organizations throughout America that support terrorism. Again quoting Harry Reid, Norquist "has the entire Republican Party in the palm of his hand."
"All we have to do is replace Obama ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a President to tell us what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget ... We just need a President to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate."
Michelle Malkin made this comment in her blog of January 5, 2009:
"Alec "the Bloviator" Baldwin has a new bosom buddy: Beltway Republican strategist Grover Norquist. The Bush-bashing actor-turned-activist and the Muslim vote-courting political organizer joined together at a Washington, D.C. area conference last weekend to perpetuate bald lies about the Patriot Act and to oppose the "repressive" War on Terror (repressing terrorist suspects apparently be a bad thing)."
Note the date: January 5, 2009; Inauguration time for the the newest Muslim in D.C. Like McCain, Norquist works both sides of the aisle.
This nation is on the verge of total collapse. True patriots and conservatives such as Allen West, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman and a few others I can count on my fingers have no hope of forming a new political party in time to make a difference, and I fear that they are pinning their hopes on a dying movement called the GOP. It was once the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower, and Reagan. Today it is no more than a bloated carcass being devoured by RINOs, Progressives, Islamist infiltrators and a collection of smooth talking invertebrates who are willing to do anything to remain in office. The Republican Party, at least on the level of individual states, remains fairly intact, but in regards to the beltway, it has now gone the way of the dinosaurs.
A century ago an attack on this nation began via a process of slow erosion by the Progressive Party. Now the end appears imminent thanks to the latest assault by a far left Muslim at the helm and Americans must pin their hopes on a self admitted Progressive named Romney and a closet Muslim named Norquist. Might I make an observation? We are in deep deep trouble.

Mr. Jeffrey,
Nice to see another blog. I was worried maybe you had given up.
I left the Republican Party in 2006. Tired of the corruption, big spending, and a war that seemed to drag on and on. I supported both wars originally; The Patriot Act; and the addition to the Federal Government of Homeland Security. And I never was much for the tin foil hat types--reminded me a bit too much of Timothy McVeigh.
I think in hindsight I was wrong to lend my support to a party that was every bit as corrupt and progressive as the Democratic Party. Taking the fight to the Islamist was not a bad thing. Getting bogged down in two expensive wars--in both blood and treasure--and nation building was akin to national suicide. Electing a Marxist may very well be the watershed moment for this country as the damage he's done is immeasurable.
I voted for McCain in 2008 but only because Sarah Palin was on the ticket. These days I consider myself more a hybrid of Conservative and Libertarian ideals.
I believe the GOP is dead as well but for different reasons. A third party would be suicide for The Right as it would split the vote and hand the country over to The Progressives.
Franklin Roosevelt and LBJ destroyed the Republican Party with big government. Once somebody receives something for nothing there's no way to turn it off without political payback. If they were to turn of the spigot tomorrow they would lose power for many, many years. In order to stay in power Republicans had to become big government elites while preaching small government to their base. No body exemplifies this more than Romney.
I finally woke up in 2009 that it was over for this country.
Peter Schiff opened my eyes to the country's financial state.
There's no way the Republican Party can win this battle of hearts and minds. Boomers want their entitlements they paid into all their lives and the younger generation is oblivious to the fact this debt crisis is going to land on their financial heads but, hey, Obama is cool, right? The middle class is just trying to get by without getting further hosed.
People on the right are still oblivious to the real dangers that lie ahead. I only have to look to Mitt Romney to reach this conclusion.
What did that General say in Full Metal Jacket? "It's a giant shit sandwich and we're all going to have to take a bite of it."
I know the media likes to paint certain figures are in charge of the right so they can paint us as NAZI's receiving our marching orders. It was Rove, Limbaugh, and now Norquist. I don't know enough about him either way but I agree with the "no raising taxes" pledge. The only way I would agree as a voter to raise taxes would be if they passed a balanced budget amendment.
That's never going to happen. So, we push on towards oblivion. I'm one of the tin foil hat people now who believes a political solution is no longer viable.
Our liberties must be liberated in the fire that is war; we must push these elites and their supporters into the sea or off our shores; we must fight while we still have a chance to restore the Constitution.
I'm not an optimist, though, and I don't know if there are enough patriots left with any fight in them.
Even those that lean right are
Conservatives Christians have been kicked out of the GOP...
They took our schools...but we still send our kids and cash
They took our media...we tune into their shows....
Our asses BETTER turn back to God---that is the ONLY way to success.
