RESTORING AMERICA

FREEDOM RINGS 1776 is a conservative voice, defending the views of those who still believe in the constitution and opposing any and all who would lead us from our tried and true beliefs. We who still believe in the spirit of 1776 must oppose anyone who would set this nation on a course that will fundamentally transform America.

THE FALLACY OF "MODERATE" MUSLIMS

Zuhdi Jasser is one of the most perplexing people alive. I will be the first to state that he is a good man, a good patriot, and a good American. Beyond that we enter a realm of shadows and mystery. He is liked, admired, trusted and has many time over proven his devotion to the cause of freedom and his opposition to Sharia. The shadow realm that I speak of begins with his claim to be a devout Muslim, and I simply cannot accept that statement. None of this man's views or beliefs can be equated to the horrid teachings of the Qur'an.

I have long believed that contradictions do not exist and when you encounter what seems to be a contradiction, it is time to check your premises, and so I shall:

Since 911 occurred Dr. Jasser has repeatedly demonstrated his love for America and has called for moderate Muslims to come forth and support his beliefs. He must suffer great agony in his plight as there are but few who have joined him in his endeavors. Zuhdi performed a great service to America and those who love freedom everywhere when he produced his now famous documentary "The Third Jihad", listed in Suggested Reading below. It begins interestingly enough with the following:
"This is not a film about Islam. It is about the threat of radical Islam. Only a small percentage of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims are radical."

That very statement gives rise to two questions. One, what is the percentage who are indeed radicals, and two, what is the precise definition of radical Islam? Let us for the moment assume that the percentage is but a mere one percent. I personally contend that the number is far higher but for the moment let us be liberal. Based on one percent of the total population of Muslims on Earth then we are only looking at thirteen million people who want to separate your head from your body. Hardly anything to worry about as all Progressives will tell us.

Question two: What is radical Islam? Is it simply the suicide bombers who blow themselves up to kill fifty men, women, and children in Israel; or does radical Islam also encompass those behind the scenes who finance the more obvious radicals of their ranks? It is my firm belief that all who contribute monetarily or simply offer moral support to the more aggressive and suicidal member of Islam are also part of the extended family of "Radical Islam".

Think about that for a moment. Applying my definition you do not have to be of Arab descent, born in the Middle East, or any other nation dominated by Islam. Anyone, in my humble opinion, who contributes to the spread of Islamic terrorism is a member of "Radical Islam", and that includes our infiltrated government in Washington D.C. and our elected lawmakers, intent on sending billions of American dollars to finance the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Al Qaeda. Suddenly that small percentage that Dr. Jasser cites does not seem so small anymore.

It is apparent that his definition of radical Islam and mine are quite different, and while we have such divergent definitions it is apparent that one of us must be terribly mistaken. The following is not changing the subject but making a point:

This from NBC News...
Rosemary Kennedy, JFK's sister, dies at 86

Some are aware, while many are not, that JFK had a mentally handicapped sister. In order to hopefully remedy the situation she underwent an unsuccessful frontal lobotomy, and thereafter spent her life in a special school so as to not bring embarrassment on the Kennedy clan.

I cannot help but feel that Zuhdi has in essence performed such a lobotomy on his concept of Islam. He is a good man with high ideals who cannot bring himself to think of himself as anything short of a devout Muslim. The Catch 22 of the whole situation is that Islam is corrupt through and through, and he, being the man that he is, cannot accept that reality. Consequently he has attempted to  perform a dichotomy on Islam, separating it into a political Islam and a spiritual Islam. At the same time he has tried to state that Islam of today and the Qur'an have been highjacked and corrupted by evil men who have distorted the great truths as stated by Mohammad, or as he says, The Prophet.

This, for all intents and purposes, is a fantasy world that a good man has created for himself because he dare not accept the reality that lies before him, for even in this fantasy there are baited traps that he cannot avoid. Any devout Muslim must contribute to Zakat, a compulsory charity outlined in the Qur'an, and that is a snare he chooses not to acknowledge, for in contributing to Zakat he is unavoidably aiding the terrorism he opposes.

Most who visit my site are well aware of the ties linking the NWO and The Council On Foreign Relations, but even they have to tell the truth on occasion.

This from The Council On Foreign Relations...
Tracking Down Terrorist Financing
Excerpt:
"One of the pillars of Islam, Zakat, is the compulsory giving of a set proportion of one's wealth to charity. While most of these charities in the Muslim world exist to help the poor and spread the message of Islam, they have also been used, particularly in wealthy Middle Eastern nations, to finance jihad."

That creates an impossible dilemma for anyone who chooses to follow the spiritual teaching of Islam while divorcing himself from the political and radical agenda that is part and parcel of the overall Muslim psyche. There can be no separating the good, if there is any to be found, from the bad. Take it or leave. If you are a Muslim, practicing only the non violent teachings of the Qur'an, you are still helping to finance terrorism. There is no escaping that fact.

Oddly, perhaps following Zuhdi Jasser's lead, most of our leaders in opposing Sharia, have adopted the premise, or at least give lip service to the thought that there are "moderate" Muslims. If you have not already watched "The Third Jihad" please do so. Zuhdi in no way tries to minimize the danger that Islam presents. Early in the video he indicates his surprise that no Muslims stepped forth to condemn the vicious attack of 911 and how in 2004 he formed a group to attract these moderates that he hopes to find. Failure. He found himself ostracized by the Muslim community at large.

How about some hard facts about that "Small Percentage" that Zuhdi and other others speak of. In the video he himself tells us, along with data from a Pew poll that one in four Muslims in America support suicide bombing to promote their cause. The number is naturally much higher in Islamic dominated nations, but let us upgrade my figure from above, based only on America's more moderate Muslims. Instead of the thirteen million I projected, we are now up to 325 million who want to behead you. One in four is most definitely not a small percentage.

The video is full of frightening information about the dangers that lie before us. Frightening or not, everyone should watch this video. If I must die by violence then so be it, at least I will not die ignorant.

I wrote at the beginning of this essay that Zuhdi Jasser is a perplexing man. Nothing proves that better than this video that he put together. To date this is one of the greatest educational videos concerning the danger of Islam. He pulls no punches and hides nothing, and yet claims to be a devout Muslim while opposing the Muslim takeover of the entire world.

One of the men that I admire most in our struggle to retain our freedoms is David Horowitz who was born into a communist family. He learned and advocated their ways in his youth and then realized the error of those ways. Since then he has become one of the greatest opponents of communism and has stated that anyone under such circumstances must totally reject all that he was taught and believed in younger days and spend his life revealing the evil he has left behind.

Zuhdi Jasser is about ninety percent to that point. There is but one bridge that he has not been able to burn, and that is his claim to be a devout Muslim. I would not want to walk a mile in his shoes and live with the conflict of logic, facts, and faith, that is taking place within him. He is a good man with a heavy burden. I wish that he could cast it off.

You are correct in your assessment. You are either for a radical ideology or you are not. One cannot straddle the fence so to say. Although he appears to be a good man he still refuses to call a spade a spade and he makes light of what he considers to a be a small percentage of this radical population, which in itself is highly questionable. Other reports show it growing at an alarming rate. He has not refuted the argument of Islam being a so-called “peaceful religion.” Where is his proof here? Chapter and verse please.

o doubt zakat is the pillar of islam so we should focus on this. We should pay our zakat according to the islam rule.
