RESTORING AMERICA

FREEDOM RINGS 1776 is a conservative voice, defending the views of those who still believe in the constitution and opposing any and all who would lead us from our tried and true beliefs. We who still believe in the spirit of 1776 must oppose anyone who would set this nation on a course that will fundamentally transform America.

THAT'S WHERE THE MONEY IS

History tells us of a man who is possibly the world's best known bank robber, and in an odd sort of way I rather admire him...for his honesty. Allow me to explain: Folklore tells us that a reporter once asked Mr. Sutton why he robbed banks and he replied, "Because that's where the money is." In a book he later published 'Where The Money Was', ole Willie denied ever having said that, crediting the imaginative reporter with coining the phrase. What he did tell us well indicates a certain degree of honesty about his chosen profession: "As to what actually motivated Sutton to hold up banks, as he said in 'Where the Money Was': "Why did I rob banks? Because I enjoyed it. I loved it. I was more alive when I was inside a bank, robbing it, than at any other time in my life. I enjoyed everything about it so much that one or two weeks later I'd be out looking for the next job. But to me the money was the chips, that's all."

We have all heard the phrase 'honor among thieves'. Well, I am here to tell you that honor is a rare commodity among thieves, but Willie Sutton in his own way, could lay claim to a certain degree of honor. He never played the victim, never blamed society for his behavior, never said that his behavior was the result of this parents mistreating him, or growing up poor. He quite simply was a bank robber and thoroughly enjoyed what he did best.

Now all of my regular readers know me as a political writer and may be somewhat confused over my choice to begin an essay with a criminal who spent half of his life in prison, and escaped from many of them. There is a certain method to my madness as I contend that this criminal thought for himself and blamed none for his capture and imprisonment. I find such behavior quite admirable when comparing him to today's liberals and their total acceptance of the brainwashing to which they have been subjected.

Now I ask you to read a very brief news item about a young man who was robbed at gunpoint and felt only concern for his assailants and guilty for his own role as a 'privileged' member of society.

STUDENT ROBBED AT GUNPOINT, SAYS HE DESERVED IT DUE TO HIS 'PRIVILEGE'
Excerpt:
In an oped for the GU newspaper, The Hoya, Friedfeld
wrote that he "can hardly blame" the assailants for robbing him. He argued that income inequality is to blame for the incident.

"Who am I to stand from my perch of privilege, surrounded by million-dollar homes and paying for a $60,000 education, to condemn these young men as ‘thugs?’ It’s precisely this kind of ‘otherization’ that fuels the problem," Friedfeld wrote.

Now, I must ask you...Who is the greatest danger to our society, a man like Willie Sutton who could be arrested, taken off of the streets, and imprisoned for his criminal ways or...this young man who has totally embraced the philosophy that wealthy people and all whites are guilty of racial discrimination and are looting the world causing rampant poverty among the less fortunate.

This wealthy, brainless automaton will one day join the world of the ruling class and expect all to live by the standards he believes in, become an educator and pass on his moronic views on to thousands, or become a journalist spreading his thoughts to millions. It matters not what his future plans are as this man is mindless and therefore dangerous to all he encounters, and all that we hold dear.

Knowing his mindset I have no trouble picturing him as a defense attorney defending such thugs in the future, and can well imagine his impassioned plea before twelve jurors explaining why his clients really didn't want to kill their victims, it just happened. All they were really trying to do was to share in the wealth that they had been deprived of due to their station in life or their skin color. He could go on and on about the dead victims and how it was really their fault that his clients resorted to criminal behavior fighting for their right to enjoy the same prosperity as those who put forth effort.

Such people make me sick!

A short time after Obama was elected, the internet was ablaze with the quest to "Wake up America". I haven't seen that cry of desperation in some time. By now most conservatives have come to realize that anyone who has not already awakened is not going to, as indicated by that blithering idiot who praises the young men who robbed him. Oddly enough this man is convinced of his moral superiority to those of us who do not praise our assailants. I have one thought I would like to direct to Mr. Friedfeld...

Young man, you are quite lucky to be alive. The men that you refuse to call thugs were young and inexperienced. In fact, this may have been their first criminal act. Give them a few years and they may try to rob a little senior lady with no money to give them as you apparently did. That is when your thugs will perhaps shoot or pistol whip a little old lady across the face.

I read of this 'mugging' this morning and have been recalling an old saying that 'A conservative is a liberal who was mugged the night before.' While this most assuredly does not apply to all conservatives it does apply to many converts as they realize that their liberal beliefs are no more than mere hogwash. Consequently I do not believe that young Mr. Friedfeld was 'mugged' in the sense that many of us would define the term. He was in no danger, and I would bet that his younger inexperienced assailants were far more frightened than he. The lady below was really mugged.

The London Evening Standard ... September 6,2012
Horrific injuries inflicted on 91-year-old mugged in Highgate as police hunt for suspect

Another victim, this one from Chicago...

Do you recall this gentleman's face?  This is the 'before' image. The 'after' was not published as his face was unrecognizable after he was mugged and beaten to death by two black teenagers.

I could quite naturally go on and on with such horrors but there is no need. My point, I do believe, is made. Now I should like to make yet another point. Young Mr. Friedfeld tells us that he encountered two young criminals who demanded money at gun point. He gave them money and tells us that he was robbed.

Rubbish! He got the better end of the deal. They got a few dollars or maybe a few hundred but he walked away unharmed feeling morally superior to most of the human race. Hey, that is better than a day at Disneyland. It even led him to write an op-ed and gloat over his superior mentality.

The poor lost fool does not realize that yes...he was mugged, but not by those two amateurs. He was thoroughly mugged by our progressive education system. They took sixty thousand dollars from his parents and beat a pliable mind into a worthless pulp, turning it into an unthinking mass of gray matter. The agenda did far more harm to his mind than the street muggers did to the old ladies in the photos above.

Now he writes an op-ed, smiles for the camera, goes his merry way with an aura of smug satisfaction born of the belief in his own moral superiority. May he find happiness in that belief. I, however, have a different view. This nation is nearing a collapse and the casualties will be numbered in the millions but this young man will not be counted among tomorrow's casualties as he has already fallen. As evidenced in his writing he has already reached the point of mindlessness, uttering only his meaningless bromides and platitudes, and thinking not.

Some progressive professors must be very proud.
