For eight years in office Ronald Reagan reinforced the meaning of American Exceptional-ism. The whole world acknowledged this nation to be the leader of the free world and we have basked in the glow this great man brought back to America and we stood tall and proud as we all joined in the chorus of "I'm Proud to be an American."
As the saying goes...Those were the days. These days are not. Recent years have brought an attack on the basic rights of America and therefore on the rights of free men everywhere. Our current President shames this great nation as he tours the world issuing apology after apology to those who deserve none. He and his progressive following are, on a daily basis, attacking our rights but the most important right of all is now under the ax. That is the right to free speech and if we lose it there remains but two choices, kneel before the masters or rise up as a single people.
The Disclosure Act could sound the death knell for the First Amendment and the House of Representatives has passed it! If the badly outnumbered conservatives in the Senate can't block it then our freedom of speech is history. Nancy Pelosi and her Crime Lords have passed HR5175 and managed to once again to twist the meaning of words and side step a gullible American public.
HR5175...Now that sounds innocent enough. It even sounds like something you might read as a descriptor when you are purchasing tires. What could possibly be so menacing in two little letters and four numbers? By the same token, eighty years ago one could have asked, what is to be feared from the four little letters N A Z I?
Someone in Nancy's hit squad is a brilliant tactician who knows how to set up an ambush. Use the right words. Portray the plan as being good for all concerned, add a lot of snake oil to camouflage the true intent and then spring the trap. It works time after time after time and like sheep to the slaughter Americans keep falling for her evil!
This Disclosure trap has been billed as bringing transparency to campaign finance. I just love way the Democrats keep giving us transparency. It is so noble of them.The reason for this disclosure we have all heard before. This bill will eliminate special interests, lobbyist and foreign investors. I thought that was the groups Obama got rid of when he took office. I could be wrong about that of course.
Now it is finally here. The playing field will be leveled at last. Truth, Justice, and the American way. Sounds just great! But don't look at the small print, because that is where they are going to viciously rip your throat out for one way or the other they plan to silence dissent.
Every thing about HR5175 is designed to keep democrats in office into perpetuity. This bill is a major link in the planned progressive takeover of America. With the same smoke and mirrors used in Obamacare they are setting the stage to keep Republican contributors out of the loop and Republicans out of office. Any organization with less than 500,000 members is out of the picture and are not allowed to speak. Any group that has been in existence for less than ten years are not allowed to speak. Sound innocent?
All unions meet these qualification so the Dems have a guaranteed ace in the hole with them. They can donate all of the money they choose and pay for all of the political adds they want. Can you think of any major political group that has not been in existence for ten years and cannot participate in campaigning? That's right...The Tea Party! The public is sick and tired of what is happening and the tea party has become their collective voice. The Obama/Reid/Pelosi Triumvirate is planning to cut their tongues out! The plan forbids them from any kind of political discussions beginning ninety days before the election.
Who else has to be silenced? Yep Me! And You! Bloggers and chat rooms are not official organizations with more than 500,000 members that have been actively involved for more than ten years. We too will be barred from any kind of political discussion 90 days before the election. How can they be sure we obey? Secret Service Monitors!
If you think the word "encrypted" you see on your PC screen protects you guess again. It might protect you from little jonny trickster or joey hacker but not from the powers that be. It would not make much sense to make a law prohibiting us from blogging about the election without the means to detect violators and enforce the ban. What is happening right now was planned well in advance. Immediately following Obabma's Coronation the word was routed to law enforcement agencies nationwide. The federal government had openings for 10,000 secret service agents. That is almost a division in the military and the requirements were minimal...High school or equivalent. They just don't make secret service agents like they used to.
And like a miracle from above Microsoft has developed a Web Bot that can detect any type of dissent it is programmed to root out. The coincidences in this world are truly amazing. Like who would have ever expected Bill Gates to develop Microsoft and go on to join the Bilderbergers or be the MS in MSNBC of have a spy program ready just when the progressives need it most? Simply amazing!
The Democratic leadership knows full well that if we are allowed to speak they loose BIG TIME. But if they silence critics with a gag order they retain their dictatorship. Guess who their newest ally is....None other than our old ally the National Rifle Association. They have sold us out. I don't know if they were promised a visit in the middle of the night or if the SEIU offered to pick up their children at school but something came down and they are now working against us.
The terms were that they would have the right to speak if they helped in the effort to silence the Tea Party and bloggers. And...there was one other catch. The NRA has prohibited any member from speaking before the Senate in the upcoming Justice confirmation of Kagan. She is the one who has opposed any and everything that would help our military. No patriot wants her on the bench. The NRA is willing to stay out of the hearings and let her win by default.
If you were concerned about Soto Meier you should not have been. She was an ultra conservative compared to Obama's latest pick.
Many are the problems that we as Americans must be concerned about today, socialized medicine, bank bailouts, auto maker and insurance companies coming under government control, unemployment is totally out of hand, bank foreclosures, inflation, hyper inflation. The list goes on and on. Don't worry! All of these problems and more pale to insignificance compared to the attack on the Freedom of Speech and do not be fooled. The first amendment is under serious attack but the problem is little publicized. Keeping people worried about the economy and oil slicks gets higher ratings for the news programs.
I am convinced that when Obama took office the progressives were convinced that they would have total control before November of 2010 and there would be no more elections to worry about. The one thing that they failed to understand is the American people. The citizens of this country can be magnificent when the need arises. Once again we face danger, a greater danger than we faced during the cold war and the war on terrorism. Those dangers though grave had the decency of remaining mostly on the other side of the world. This one is in our back yards. Well, the back yards of those who live in Washington DC, and the back pockets of those still lucky enough to have a job.
Nothing makes a person more helpless than losing the ability to communicate. Imagine, for the moment, going to a doctor and having no way to tell him about your problem. We face the same problem in today's world due to corrupt leaders. Wisdom is a wonderful tool and much wisdom is found in the Bible. John 8:32 addresses the issue of TRUTH. "And the truth shall set you free!" What held true 2000 years ago has not changed. Leaders have remained much the same as well. The American people should have realized something was wrong when the Obama campaign committee wanted their loyalists to inform on anyone who did not agree with him.
Quickly. Think of three other countries that have used that tactic.
I find it to be quite amusing that our president gets upset when people compare him to Hitler and Stalin. I have written it before and no doubt I shall write it again. Mister President, if you don't wish to be compared to these evil men...stop using their methods, One fearful issue on the horizon is "Hate Speech," It is a concept straight out of George Orwell's 1984. For it to be effective one group must be able to scream hatred and the other can be arrested for the smallest criticism.
Ann Coulter ran head on into this very problem in Canada. They do have hate speech laws implemented for the purpose of eliminating the conservatives right to speak. She was actually stopped from speaking at a university because the left considered her rhetoric to be "Hate Speech." As she was being escorted off the campus there were students shouting to kill her. They were permitted to express their viewpoint without incident. We are dangerously close to making "Hate speech" illegal here.
Just look at the way our freedom of speech has been eroding over the years from "Political Correctness." If you think that PC is simply silly and not an attack, try this example. Anyone who complains about the illegal immigrants is a RACIST. Anyone who thinks that Muslims are trying to kill us has Islamophobia. The last time I looked, I got a very distinct impression that they are trying to kill us. I guess I must have it. Those people in the twin towers that looked out their windows to the sight of onrushing jet aircraft may or may not have had Islamophobia. We'll never know for sure, they were killed by the followers of Islam and we can't detect any type of phobia in one who is dead.
Anyone who makes an honest critical observation about laws that are not being enforced or the lack of employment issue, or the tax burden is "unpatriotic". The progressives don't want to discuss issues. As Al Gore says "The debate is closed." The liberals attack us on "Moral" grounds to gain sympathy for those who are violating our laws. Life does have its little ironies.
The sort of things I mentioned above have become routine. Now the attacks become more direct and fierce. The President told us to go sit down and shut up.That is exactly what the Democrats in Washington are trying to enforce. With the arrival of the Tea Party pushing back on the progressives, they have become desperate to silence all dissent before November. If they don't shut us up the tide will turn.
This is the triumvirate's personal attack on the Republican party but they have another planned for the everyday American. It is called Net Neutrality. It is one of those "Hello, I'm from the government and I am here to help!" ploys. Net Neutrality is another way Obama's regime is trying to curtail our freedom of speech and it is a spin off of the "Fairness Doctrine." Don't you just love the way progressives reverse the meaning of words? There is nothing fair about the Fairness Doctrine and there is nothing neutral about Net Neutrality.
